Board your private boat at Marina Piccola in Sorrento and cruise across the Bay of Naples to Capri. Your licensed Italian captain handles everything — you simply relax, swim, and soak in the views.
The journey from Sorrento to Capri takes approximately 45 minutes, giving you a front-row seat to the dramatic coastline. Once in Capri, you'll circumnavigate the island, passing the famous Faraglioni rocks, the Natural Arch, and the White Grotto.
Your captain will find the perfect sheltered cove for a swim stop, where you can snorkel in water so clear you'll see the bottom 15 meters below. Snorkeling gear, towels, and drinks are all onboard.
If conditions allow, you'll visit the legendary Blue Grotto — one of the most awe-inspiring natural wonders in the Mediterranean.
Insider tip: skip the queues, land for free.
The smartest way to visit Capri without waiting in line is to book lunch at a restaurant on the island. When you dine at a Capri restaurant, you get automatic access to the island — no landing fee, no queues. Your captain docks at the restaurant, you enjoy a meal with a view, and you're already on the island ready to explore the Piazzetta, shop, or stroll.
The full iconic day: cruise to Capri, visit the legendary Blue Grotto, swim in a hidden cove, lunch at a waterfront restaurant (free island access included), then free time to explore the Piazzetta before the scenic return.
Why skip the Blue Grotto? Entry to the Blue Grotto usually requires a 45-60 minute wait anchored in the open sea. While you wait, the boat rocks in the swell — which can be uncomfortable for anyone prone to seasickness, especially children or older guests.
Many of our travelers prefer this alternative: your captain still cruises past several equally stunning sea caves directly visible from the boat (White Grotto, Green Grotto, Natural Arch), then docks early at Capri. You gain roughly an extra hour ashore to explore the Piazzetta, walk down Via Krupp, visit the Gardens of Augustus, or take the chairlift to Monte Solaro — all at your own pace.
We recommend this version if the sea is choppy, if you've already seen the Blue Grotto on a previous trip, or simply if you love time ashore in small Italian towns.
Antonio grew up on these waters. Born into a family of fishermen in Sorrento, he's been captaining charters around Capri, Positano, and the Amalfi Coast for over fifteen years. He holds a professional Italian merchant marine license and speaks English, Italian, and conversational Spanish.
When he's not at the helm, Antonio trains and vets every captain in The Charter Pro network. Every boat we connect you with is crewed by someone Antonio would personally trust with his own family.
